Thanks and farewell

HR ImageFollowing the appearance at the Grand Shield Contest the band bids farewell to in Principal Cornet player Harvey Rees.

Harvey has been a member of the band for many years advancing through the ranks of the cornet section to take his place as the ‘end man’. Whilst seated in the band Harvey has also been a member of the National Youth Brass Band of Wales and depped for a range of top bands in Wales. He has also commenced his graduate studies at Cardiff’s Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Band Chairman Iestyn Davies said, “We are grateful for the role Harvey has played during the time he has been a member of the band. We wish him every success in his next steps and in his player career. We will now commence the task of recruiting a new Principal Cornet player who can lead the section and the band as we make our preparations for a busy summer and of course our appearance at the Royal Albert Hall in October.”
