New BBb signing

1891019_987129007979949_3108735630029588555_nFollowing their top six finish at the recent Grand Shield competition Tongwynlais Band are pleased to announce that BBb player Nigel Buist has signed for the band. Nigel will join the team on a regular basis after leaving West Wales rivals Pontardulais.

The signing is the latest addition to the band as they commence preparations for their fifth consecutive appearance at the Championship Section Finals.

Band Chairman Iestyn Davies said of the signing, “We’ve been grateful to Nigel for his contribution to Tongwynlais during the preparations and performance for the Spring Festival and it’s a real boost to us to be able to have him signed for both the finals and the forthcoming local contests.”

Nigel is no stranger to the Capital City Championship section band and resident MD Christopher Bond added, “I’ve known Nigel for a number of years now having worked with him in his previous stint with Tongwynlais. I am delighted that he has agreed to join our team at such an exciting time, following our appearance at theSpring Festival last weekend, and ahead of our National Finals performance in October.”

As a keen and hardworking bandsman the players of Tongwynlais have already expressed their delight at the signing, and Christopher concluded, “I know Nigel will be an asset to the band, and look forward to working with him again hugely.

The next performance of the Band will be at the Pershore Festival of Brass on 2nd July 2016.
